Welcome to my home!Hello my name is Zhu hongbing and living in Singapore now. I was born in China in 1973, completed my bachelor degree in China in 1996, worked in Beijing 5 years (1996-2000) and came to Singapore in the end of 2000 for working in a Multinational Corporation (MNC) --- i-DNS.net international. I began my interest in software programming when I was in secondary school in 1986, at the moment I wrote code using Apple II and SHARP PC-1500. I gained Top 3 in Program Competition in Province Level (1987-1990), and ranked 33rd and gained a 3rd award respectively in National (1990 - 1991). In the university, I ranked 2nd in a software design competition of university in 1993. After graduating from the university, I worked for Beijing Hanwang Technology Co., Ltd, which is a subsidiary of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). In Hanwang, I was in charge of one of its major products --- Business Card Recognition and Management System, which was like CardScan, as project manager and chief software engineer. Its version 2.5 won the Excellent Software Award of China in 2000. It has earned more than US$3,000,000 for Hanwang. In October 2000, I went to Singapore and worked for i-DNS.net as chief software engineer and project manager. I was in charge of its main product --- iClient, which is difficult to develop because of its unusual behavior ---it enters other application’s memory to get information for further processing. In April 2003, I, as one of the founders and the director of technology, created GistXL Pte Ltd, which focused on Machine Translation (MT) technology and solution R&D. In 2004, the company won the Singapore National Infocomm Awards, issued by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) every two years. And we cooperate with Singapore Telecom (Singapore), M1 Telecom (Singapore) and New world Telecom (Hong Kong) to provide WAP/SMS/MMS message translation, and provide Nokia for Java Translation program. Meanwhile, we were focusing on new generation machine translation technology which could provide more accurate translation. In 2008, according to the requirement of market, I began to research search system and its relevant technology, especially natural language processing, information retrieval and distributed system. As well, I spent time to dig into deeper in technology and market opportunities. My work experience:
